That’s the title of my current work in progress. Seriously. That’s it.
Here’s a Synopsis
But perhaps the biggest surprise of all is the friendship that forms between the world-weary girl who dreamed of adventures with sexy vampires and the dorky leprechaun boy who ends up being a hero in disguise.
|Why do post-apocalyptic pics always look cool?|
Zombies ravage the earth’s surface and Fairytale Creatures live openly among humans. Ann, that world weary girl, is sent to kill the biggest baddest zombie of them all: The Nemean Lion. But who’s crazy enough to do that?
Unfortunately, she’s cast out of her home until the mission is complete. And even more unfortunately, she’s joined on her quest by a leprechaun, though, of course, she’d prefer a vampire. And of course, none are to be found.
In a world where a cult watches Star Wars movies and worships the Force, and werewolves do indeed wear shirts, Ann may yet find something worth fighting for.
|None of the characters are this ripped|
Based on The Twelve Labors of Hercules and inspired by girl-meets-vampire plots, The Lion, The Leprechaun, and The Lonely Girl twists fantasy tropes and parodies modern media. Set in a time that doesn’t quite feel like the past, present, or future, it blends comedy with adventure and smarts.
The first draft of the book is almost done, and for inspirational purposes and because it’s fun, I’ll be blogging about the project. #YAY
Expect posts on ideas and outlines. Expect posts on writing and overcoming writer’s block. There will be excerpts, and in the end, there will be a novel about leprechauns and zombie lions.
